Cammack Bathroom Upgrade – Case Study

Hank and Jane Cammack own a beautiful center entrance colonial in Milton, Massachusetts. They wanted to modernize a portion of their bath room without compromising the tub and the mud tile surround.

The plan was to remove the wall tile and cut the tile at the tub to preserve the tub area; this was not an easy task because the tile had been set in wire mesh. Dream Builderz also removed the floor tile and installed a new porcelain tile floor which resulted in a large change in floor height requiring a substantial change to the toilet drain.

We also upgraded the bathroom electrical system and installed a new “silent” vent fan.

We installed new blue board plaster on the old tile area, blended the plaster in, installed a chair rail and new molding along the line of the tub tile.

A new vanity with a granite top was installed and a wood cabinet which we stained and finished to match the vanity, along with a comfort height toilet, new mirror and lighting.

I visited Hank at Christmas and told me that the job was “perfection”.
