MacDonald Enclosed Porch – Case Study

enclosed porchI received a call from Janet MacDonald in May regarding the rebuilding of her enclosed front porch.

Jane and her husband Mel needed pricing to plan a budget for the rebuilding process.  Janet and Mel wanted the porch to have the look and feel of a room not a porch. They decided to go with large double hung windows plaster walls and a tile floor.

We excavated and set precast footings, which are four times stronger than poured footings, for the enclosed porch and exterior landing. We constructed the porch using PVC trim and vinyl siding on the exterior. The new windows were vinyl and the new entry door was fiberglass with a composite sill and jamb making the new structure maintenance free. We repaired the existing siding so the front had a clean new look. We installed fir decking landing and stairs to prevent moisture build up and poured a new concrete front walk.

When the job was complete Janet sent me a note: “Thank you for everything you have done for us.  We really appreciate it and love everything! We appreciate all the extras you did too. Thank you again. It has been our pleasure working with you.  It was a million times better than our last experience with home improvements.”

It is very satisfying to know that our work pleases our customers!
